BLACK Country Triathlete Jacob Anson bagged medal joy for Great Britain in the European Aquathlon Championships in Chateauroux, France.

Anson finished second in age group, Male 16-19, bringing home the silver medal in a time of 32.11 for a 1000m open water swim followed by a 5k run.

The club juniors were also on top form again this weekend with 16 racing and BCT taking a large number of podium places at Sandwell Open Water Triathlon held at Swan Pool.

Rosie Briscoe took third place in the TS1 age group swimming 150m, cycling 2000m and running 1500m in 15.54.

Older sister Holly Briscoe finished second in the TS2 age group in 23.01 following a swim of 200m, bike 4000m and run of 1800m. TS3 race consisting of a 300m swim, 6000m bike and a 2400m swim saw Lydia Silk finish in 29.24 to take first place and Ellie Willis second in 29.39; Joel Humpage finished in 27.25 to take second place in the boys TS3 race.

Finally, Reece Ashfield finished second in the Youth category swimming 400m, cycling 8000m and running 3000m in 33.41.

Elsewhere, Samantha Paine completed her first Standard Distance Triathlon at Chalmondeley Castle in Cheshire finishing 5th in age group in a time of 3:11:09 for a 1500m swim, 44k bike and 10k run.
