A FOOT injury has forced Frankie Gavin to pull out of his much-anticipated clash with Stourbridge's Sam Eggington.
The pair were due to do battled at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on Saturday, October 17.
The event would have seen Eggington put his British, Commonwealth and WBC international silver welterweight titles on the line against Gavin.
A new opponent will now have to be found for the Stour man.
The Birmingham show, which is live on Sky Sports, will still feature fellow Matthew Macklin and Rowley Regis' Jason Welborn over 12 rounds.
After the news was announced, Eggington tweeted to fans: "I want to say sorry to anyone who has tickets or was looking forward to the fight, but these things happen.
"The show goes on with a new opponent and maybe a new title! It's still a good show with top local boxers on - Machlin, Yafai brothers.
"Still a top local tear up on and I can still guarantee a seriously entertaining fight."
