DUANE Darby has stepped down as a joint-boss of Cradley Town.

Work and family commitments have meant Darby won't be in charge at the Hammers next season.

It means fellow joint-manager Mark Jones will step up to take sole charge of team affairs.

Jones arrived at Cradley this summer after his former club Causeway United announced a decision to fold.

Town chairman Trevor Thomas said: "Duane has other commitments that will make it difficult for him attend training sessions.

"It would make it very difficult for him to be our manager. We would have liked to have kept him at the club but it is just one of those things. We spoke to him and he decided to step down.

"We are now very excitied about what Mark Jones will bring to the club. He is working hard ahead of the new season and we have every confidence that he is the right man to now take Cradley forwards."
