DUDLEY Town chairman Steve Austin has praised the impact of forward Joel Ambalu since his return from injury.

The former West Bromwich Albion youngster has come back with a bang to bag five goals in the last four games for the Robins.

Austin said: "He has been like a new signing for us. His impact has been fantastic.

"I also think there is plenty more to come from him as well. He is still coming back from injury and getting better every week."

Ambalu was on the scoresheet once again when Dudley lost 3-2 away to Wolverhampton Casuals last Tuesday.

"We probably should have won the game," added Austin. "We took the lead and it looked like we were going to go on and get another good win. But we then conceded three quick goals and were always up against it from that point on.

"We still created enough chances to win it but couldn't convert the opportunities."

Dudley's home game against high flyers Sporting Khalsa on Saturday was called off due to a frozen pitch.

They will now take on Pegasus Juniors at home this Wednesday before travelling to face Black Country Rangers on Saturday.
