THE Glassboys will be looking to get their Northern Premier League campaign off to a winning start tomorrow.

Stourbridge will welcome Whitby to the War Memorial Ground (3pm kick off) on the back of an unbeaten pre-season programme.

After the disappointment of defeat at Chesham Utd in the play-off semi-final at the end of last season, another summer of upheaval in the Non-League pyramid saw Stourbridge transferred from the Southern League to the Northern Premier League.

Their North Yorkshire opposition at Amblecote tomorrow will be beginning their 17th consecutive Premier Division season after finishing ninth last term.

Captain Sean Geddes is bullish ahead of the season.

He said: We want promotion. We have added some good players to the team and we want to be up there challenging.

"It is an exciting time for everyone and all the players are looking forward it."

Fans unable to watch the clash can keep up to date with all the action with The News’ live match updates. We will be online from 2.30pm with team news before providing regular updates when the match kicks off at 3pm.
