Bromsgrove Sporting fell to their third successive league defeat on Saturday afternoon, after Halesowen Town ran out winners in front of a crowd of 1,421 at the Grove writes Max Banner.

The Yeltz's Kieren Donnelly netted twice in the first half; Sporting skipper Luke Rowe pulled one back soon after the interval but the equaliser ultimately proved elusive for the Rouslers.

Conor Tee had a couple of early chances for the visitors but was unable to find the target with either of them. Up at the other end, Donnelly and former Rousler, Josh Ezewele both found themselves through on goal but their respective efforts were both wide of the mark.

McKauley Manning struck the ball straight at Bromsgrove keeper Ollie Taylor in the 22nd minute, whilst Billy Shaw was unable to give Sporting the lead six minutes later, as he shot wide from a promising position.

The opener came in the 32nd minute, as a Donnelly drive went into the goal despite Taylor getting a hand to it.

Ryan Wynter almost doubled the lead three minutes later but his header went over the bar. However, The Yeltz would go on to bag a second before the halftime whistle, as Donnelly headed an enticing corner home in the fourth minute of additional time.

Bromsgrove made the best possible start to the second half, as a Tee corner was knocked in by the head of Rowe via the underside of the crossbar.

Chances were at a premium for both sides thereafter in truth; Jack Holmes almost scored Halesowen's third with 17 minutes of normal time remaining but his free kick went over the bar.

In the 83rd minute, a Tee corner eventually found its way to the post after a small goalmouth scramble.
