More than 250 artists from across the world are set to descend on Wrexham this week for the FOCUS Wales 2024.

The three-day festival will run from Thursday (May 9) until Saturday (May 11) with organisers expecting more than 20,000 people to visit Wrexham after a record attendance last year. 

The festival, entering its 14th year, will once again feature live musical performances from local and international talent, film screenings and arts events.

FOCUS Wales 2024 line-up

FOCUS Wales is set to welcome more than 250 artists from across the world to the 2024 event.

The 2024 festival will also welcome the likes of actor and director Celyn Jones who will be available for a Q&A after the screening of his new film The Almond and the Seahorse starring Rebel Wilson which was partly shot in Wrexham.

Tickets for FOCUS Wales are still available (at the time of publication).

There is a range of options available including festival passes (access to all three days), day passes and single-show tickets.

They all range in price from £160 to £17 (plus booking fees).

Ticket collection

To reduce queuing at venues, those attending FOCUS Wales events will have to collect tickets/relevant wristbands from the festival box office located at Tŷ Pawb in the Wrexham city centre (see map below for exact location).

The box office will be open:

  • Thursday (May 9): 9am to 10pm
  • Friday (May 10): 9am to 10pm
  • Saturday (May 11): 10am to 10pm

Train

If you are looking to travel to the festival by train there are two railway stations in Wrexham:

  • Central Station - which is in the middle of town
  • Wrexham General - a three-minute walk from the city centre

Both stations have a direct link to London and can also provide access to places like Cardiff, Chester and Shrewsbury with connections to Liverpool. 

Bus

You can also access Wrexham via bus with the main bus terminal located in the city centre - Wrexham Bus Station.
