THE Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards 2016 has received a record number of entries – organisers say.
A total of 98 applications were received in total ahead of the awards dinner which is set to take place on Friday November 18 at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
Organisers say they want to make the celebrations bigger and better this year and for the first time they will be holding the awards dinner on a Friday evening.
They have also introduced a lower price for attendees (£55+VAT for an individual place and £450+VAT for a table of 10). The chamber is also offering a hosted table opportunity, priced £1,000+VAT, giving business bosses chance to treat their clients to a sophisticated evening.
A host of big name businesses and organisations - including Birmingham City University, Wolverhampton Racecourse and Birmingham Airport - have already signed up to sponsor awards – but a number of categories remain open for sponsorship including ‘best new business’ award, ‘business services provider of the year’ and ‘outstanding achievement’ award.
