POLICE are hunting a helmet-wearing armed thief who raided a Halesowen store.
The offender, a man wearing a silver motorcycle helmet, walked into the Co-op supermarket on Manor Lane in Howley Grange brandishing what is believed to have been a hand gun.
Staff were left "very shaken" after being threatened by the man who demanded cash before leaving the store by the back door.
The incident happened at around 7pm on Monday June 29.
Detective Constable Simon Wilmott, from Dudley’s Acquisitive Crime Team, said: "We are sure someone will recognise the distinctive silver and black helmet and may know someone who owns one that matches that seen in the CCTV.
"Fortunately the members of staff were unharmed during the robbery, but were obviously left very shaken."
Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101 or people can leave information anonymously by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
