THE following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between October 13 and 17:

Baljit Singh Sangha, aged 38, of Scotts Green Close, Dudley, was fined £300 for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, in Brierley Hill on September 21. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £85 court costs.

Lewis Derek Foley, aged 40, of Carlton Avenue, Wollescote, received a 12 month community order for stealing clothes, worth £487.50, from M&S, Merry Hill, on August 28. He must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

David Robert Leo, aged 25, of Capern Grove, Quinton, was sent to prison for 16 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence, in Brierley Hill on September 5. He was also sentenced for obstructing a police officer in the execution of duty, driving without a licence or insurance and possessing cannabis in Halesowen on September 4. He was disqualified from driving for three years and must pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Anil Kumar Sharma, aged 20, of Masters Lane, Halesowen, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for causing £300 worth of damage to a fridge freezer in Halesowen and assaulting a man in Brierley Hill on June 29. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £50 court costs.

Wesley Steven Smile, aged 26, of High Street, Dudley, was fined £110 for possessing diamorphine and crack cocaine in Dudley on September 26.He must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Susan Thurston, aged 45, of Thorns Road, Brierley Hill, was fined £100 for drink driving in Cradley, on September 28. When tested she had 73mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was disqualified from driving for 17 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Kirsty Fryer, aged 23, of Bourne Street, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for nine months for stealing food, worth £1.68, from B&M, Brierley Hill, and nail polish remover, worth £1, from Poundland, Dudley, on September 27. She must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Amanda Jackson, aged 33, of North Oval, Upper Gornal, was given a 12 month community order for drink driving in Dudley on September 27. When tested, she had 83mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. She was disqualified from driving for three years and must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Geoff Thomas Badlan, aged 40, of Hordern Crescent, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for 18 weeks for driving while disqualified and without insurance in Dudley on September 20. He was also sentenced for failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis during the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence. He was disqualified from driving for four years and must pay a victim surcharge of £80.

Carl William Brotherton, aged 44, of Nelson Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 22 weeks, suspended for 18 months for harassing a woman in Dudley between February 16 and May 24 and failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on September 22, having been released on bail. He must pay compensation of £500, a victim surcharge of £80 and £620 court costs.

Natalie Clare Lapsley, aged 37, of Burnt Tree Island, Dudley, was sent to prison for 10 weeks, suspended for 12 months, for assaulting a woman in Dudley on June 17. She must pay compensation of £400, a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Ross Andrew Hierons, aged 35, of Love Lane, Lye, was sent to prison for 20 weeks, suspended for 12 weeks, for stealing items worth £301.89, from various stores in Brierley Hill, West Bromwich, Dudley, Halesowen and Stourbridge between August 25 and October 15, whilst subject to a community order. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80.

Carl David Warren, aged 45, of Hagley Road West, Quinton, was discharged conditionally for two years for harassing a woman in Sedgley between August 3 and 10. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Julie Ann Lavender, aged 42, of Heathbrook Avenue, Wall Heath, was given a six month community order for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe that unlawful violence would be used against them or to provoke such violence, in Wall Heath on September 7. She must pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.
